Art and music fusion is a big part of our concept at Paint Jam London – so it was a sweet honour to be invited to paint jam in the music jam room - at The Institute, Kilburn for Freshers week 2014.Image may be NSFW.

Visitors to the music jam room were encouraged to paint on communal canvases as their peers jammed with instruments on stage beside them. Choosing from the array of paints and art materials Paint Jam London provides, students got very colourful and creative, and had very big smiles on their faces as they shook their hips, joined in with the backing singing and lashed paint onto canvas. What talented young musicians there are at the institute too!
As we do at every Paint Jam London art making event, be it a Paint Jam night, a team building painting event or hen party, our DJ plays music to inspire people’s painting. It always fascinates me to see how rhythms and beats create different colours, swirls, shapes and marks on a canvas – You can really see the music in the paintings.
Is it alright to say that all the young Freshers were so adorable? Maybe I can balance that out with saying they made me feel old?
All communal canvases will now be hung on The Institute’s walls – so all can see their paintings as they walk into college.
