London Design Festival came to our doorstep this year, with the creation of the new Queens Park district - showcasing the hot designers and creatives that live and breathe in this West London village.

Centering around the stylish and unique Lonsdale Road and the innovative South Kilburn Studios, Paint Jam London was invited by curator and Interior Stylist Zoe Brewer/ My Interior Stylist to live paint at the VIP/press event on Thursday, and to set up a Paint Jam art pop-up shop at the Saturday event. The setting for our Paint Jam pop-ups was Zoe Brewer’s very own exciting furniture exhibition – a colourful collaboration with upholstery company Out of the Dark.
Our Live Painter of choice was the one and only Charlotte Posner - one of my favorite London artists who fuses traditional drawing and painting techniques with a love of street art/mural style. Charlotte Posner has worked on a number of Paint Jam projects this year, including our Kings Cross station live mural painting this summer for client Fleishman Hillard, and a special solo exhibition of her art work ‘The Ring Series’ curated by myself/Paint Jam London, at Le Meridien Piccadilly, where Charlotte also live painted a ring by Solange Azagury Partridge; this time Zoe Brewer’s flower furniture theme was fused with Charlotte’s current art series - women in fashion illustration style with cakes for hats is a fave example – to create three canvases which guests could win on the night!
Saturday’s Paint Jam pop-up shop was set to showcase paintings from art workshops and painting parties that Paint jam London are known for – we exhibited canvases painted at our events by everyday people/non artists, which are everything from full of naive charm to damn right impressive! We also had an artist area where prints and drawings by a handpicked selection of professional artists were sold – inc Charlotte Posner’s and my very own Dalia Zermon prints.
We were also letting people know about our special Christmas party Paint Jam packages with painting, DJ music, drinks and food, and the charities we support – namely KIDS CO.
